US Evacuates Diplomats Over Cuba Mystery Sonic Attacks
US and Cuba relations deteriorate as Washington gave marching orders to all nonessential diplomats at US embassy in Havana to leave the country. This is followed by persistence unconfirmed attacks knocking off embassy staffs sense of hearing.
This move basically will evacuate about 60 percent of embassy staffs. US authorities also suspended all visa services at its Havana Embassy. US nationals were also warned on the hazard of staying in the country and were advised to leave as well.
There has been a controversy between US and Cuba over inexplicable events relating to incidents of 21 US diplomats and their household members has gone deaf. The termed "Special Attack" target only US embassy staffs. The source of these assault is yet to be determined.by both US and Cuban authorities.

This situation had prompted Washington to expel two Cuban diplomats from Washington in May. Havana has protested this measure and also denied allegations of complicity in the mysterious acoustic attack.
US authorities has concluded that what seems like coordinated acoustic weaponry has been employed to attack embassy operatives sustainably. As a result, 21 diplomats has lost their hearing. What seemed like isolated incidents were traced to be attacks. Embassy staffs had reported been woken up, in their hotel rooms by blaring and grinding noise. Symptoms were so severe that some diplomats had to be flown directly to Miami for hospitalization.
Congress has frowned at Cuban authorities for been unable to determine the source of these attacks. They are determined to remove all Americans from harms way by reducing the number of staff employed at the embassy, The embassy in this arrangement will stop all visa services immediately and attend to only diplomatic protocols.
Cuban Foreign Ministry has released statements today that Washington is quick in taking such decision. More so, the evacuation of embassy will affect bilateral relations especially in cooperation and matters of interest to both countries. The Cuban spokeswoman maintains that US and Cuba should pull together to arrive at a solution to the problem.
Canada has announced that it has no plans to remove embassy staff from Havana.
