50 Cents was speaking on Hot 97 FM “Ebro Morning Show” in an interview on his BET deal on "50 Central". He old Ebro " “They was having issues with the African-American vote. He wanted to pay me $500,000 as part of the campaign to just make an appearance.”
According to him the Trump campaign organisation wanted him to show up at a rally because as at then they were struggling with drawing African Americans attention. Hillary was making more impact on African Americans. The team were looking for options to make a headway.

During the interview one of the hosts interjected that President Trump has a great team in the White House but he would not give an ear to them. 50 Cents cut in “Then we gotta get rid of him,”

Black turnout at the 2016 presidential polls was generally low. Much more African Americans ended up voting for Hillary Clinton. Notably, back in December 2016 Trump thanked the African Americans for not voting for him. It would be difficult to say if 50 Cents' contribution would have made significant impact in the election victory of Trump if had had opted to honor trumps offer.
